Core i3-8100 vs FX-9590 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-9590 performs better than the Core i3-8100. Despite this, the Core i3-8100 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the FX-9590 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the FX-9590 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-8100. A Core i3-8100 CPU outputs less heat than a FX-9590 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the FX-9590 has more L2 cache than the Core i3-8100. The FX-9590 also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-8100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
