Core i3-7350K vs Xeon X5470 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5470 is faster than the Core i3-7350K. Despite this, the Core i3-7350K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Xeon X5470 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i3-7350K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-7350K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5470. A Core i3-7350K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5470 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Xeon X5470 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-7350K

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-7350K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
