Core i3-7350K vs Pentium Gold G5400 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-7350K performs better than the Pentium Gold G5400. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium Gold G5400 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-7350K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium Gold G5400. The Pentium Gold G5400 outputs less heat than Core i3-7350K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-7350K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
