Core i3-7100 vs Core i5-4440S specs and performance

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-4440S has significantly more cores than the Core i3-7100. Indeed, the Core i5-4440S has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-7100. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds.
