Core i3-5010U vs Pentium G860 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium G860 is faster than the Core i3-5010U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-5010U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i3-5010U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium G860 has a much higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-5010U. In terms of cache, the Core i3-5010U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G860. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i3-5010U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
