Core i3-4130 vs N100 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-4130 performs better than the N100. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the N100 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the N100 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Core i3-4130 that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-4130 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N100. The info from our database shows that the N100 has more L2 cache than the Core i3-4130. The N100 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-4130 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
