Core i3-13100 vs Core Ultra 7 268V benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-13100 beats the Core Ultra 7 268V in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core Ultra 7 268V in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core Ultra 7 268V has significantly more cores than the Core i3-13100. Indeed, the Core Ultra 7 268V has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-13100. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-13100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core Ultra 7 268V. The info from our database shows that the Core Ultra 7 268V has more L2 cache than the Core i3-13100. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-13100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
