Core i3-13100 vs Core i3-1315U comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-13100 beats the Core i3-1315U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1315U in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i3-1315U has significantly more cores than the Core i3-13100. Indeed, the Core i3-1315U has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-13100. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-13100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1315U. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. In terms of cache, the Core i3-13100 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-1315U. The Core i3-13100 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-13100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
