Core i3-12100F vs Core i7-1270P benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-12100F is faster than the Core i7-1270P. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-1270P in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-1270P has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i3-12100F has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-12100F. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-12100F has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-1270P. Despite this, the Core i7-1270P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1270P outputs less heat than Core i3-12100F thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-12100F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
