Core i3-1115G4 vs Ryzen 3 7320U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 7320U is faster than the Core i3-1115G4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1115G4 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 3 7320U has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Core i3-1115G4 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-1115G4. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-1115G4 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 7320U. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. The Ryzen 3 7320U outputs less heat than Core i3-1115G4 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-1115G4 has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 7320U. The Core i3-1115G4 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-1115G4 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
