Core i3-1115G4 vs Celeron G6900 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1115G4 performs better than the Celeron G6900. Despite this, the Celeron G6900 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i3-1115G4 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Celeron G6900 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-1115G4. A Core i3-1115G4 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron G6900 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i3-1115G4 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-1115G4 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
