Core i3-10300 vs Core i5-8600K comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-8600K performs better than the Core i3-10300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-10300 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-8600K has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i3-10300 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Core i3-10300 has more threads than the Core i5-8600K. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-10300 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-8600K. Also, the Core i3-10300 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-10300 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-8600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP.
