Core i3-10110U vs Core i5-2400S benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-2400S beats the Core i3-10110U in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-10110U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-2400S has significantly more cores than the Core i3-10110U. Indeed, the Core i5-2400S has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-10110U. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-2400S has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-10110U. Despite this, the Core i3-10110U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-10110U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-2400S CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-10110U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
