Core i3-10100F vs Xeon X5680 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5680 is faster than the Core i3-10100F. Despite this, the Core i3-10100F has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon X5680 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-10100F. Indeed, the Xeon X5680 has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-10100F. It also has more threads than the Core i3-10100F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-10100F has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5680. Also, the Core i3-10100F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-10100F CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5680 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-10100F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
