Core i3-10100 vs Core i3-8350K comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-10100 performs better than the Core i3-8350K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8350K in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i3-10100 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-8350K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-10100. A Core i3-10100 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-8350K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i3-8350K also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-10100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
