Core i3-1005G1 vs Pentium G4600 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium G4600 is faster than the Core i3-1005G1. Despite this, the Core i3-1005G1 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4600 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1005G1. A Core i3-1005G1 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G4600 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i3-1005G1 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-1005G1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
