Core i3-1005G1 vs Pentium 6805 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-1005G1 is faster than the Pentium 6805. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium 6805 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-1005G1 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium 6805. Also, the Core i3-1005G1 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Pentium 6805 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-1005G1. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i3-1005G1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
