Core 2 Quad Q8200 vs Celeron 7305 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron 7305 performs better than the Core 2 Quad Q8200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core 2 Quad Q8200 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron 7305 has slightly more cores with 5 cores compared to the Core 2 Quad Q8200 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Quad Q8200. Our comparison shows that the Core 2 Quad Q8200 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron 7305. The Celeron 7305 outputs less heat than Core 2 Quad Q8200 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Celeron 7305 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core 2 Quad Q8200

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core 2 Quad Q8200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
