Celeron N5105 vs Core i3-N305 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-N305 performs better than the Celeron N5105. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N5105 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-N305 has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Celeron N5105 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron N5105. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron N5105 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-N305. A Celeron N5105 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-N305 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N5105 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
