Celeron N5105 vs Core i3-1215U comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1215U performs better than the Celeron N5105. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N5105 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-1215U has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Celeron N5105 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron N5105. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron N5105 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1215U. A Celeron N5105 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-1215U CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron N5105 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
