Celeron N5105 vs Core i3-1005G1 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1005G1 performs better than the Celeron N5105. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N5105 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron N5105 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-1005G1. Indeed, the Celeron N5105 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-1005G1. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron N5105 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1005G1. A Celeron N5105 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-1005G1 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Celeron N5105 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
