Celeron N4120 vs Core 2 Duo E7500 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core 2 Duo E7500 performs better than the Celeron N4120. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4120 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron N4120 has significantly more cores than the Core 2 Duo E7500. Indeed, the Celeron N4120 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core 2 Duo E7500. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E7500. Our comparison shows that the Core 2 Duo E7500 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron N4120. A Celeron N4120 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E7500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N4120 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
