Celeron N4020 vs Atom D2550 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron N4020 is faster than the Atom D2550. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Atom D2550 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Atom D2550 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Atom D2550 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron N4020.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron N4020 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
