Celeron N4000 vs Ryzen 7 9800X3D benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D performs better than the Celeron N4000. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4000 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has significantly more cores than the Celeron N4000. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has 8 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Celeron N4000. It also has more threads than the Celeron N4000. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N4000. A Celeron N4000 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N4000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
