Celeron N4000 vs Pentium Silver N5000 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium Silver N5000 performs better than the Celeron N4000. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4000 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Pentium Silver N5000 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Celeron N4000 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron N4000. According to our data, the Celeron N4000 and Pentium Silver N5000 have the same clock speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N4000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
