Celeron N4000 vs Core i3-N300 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-N300 beats the Celeron N4000 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4000 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-N300 has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Celeron N4000 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron N4000. Our comparison shows that the Celeron N4000 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N300. A Celeron N4000 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-N300 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N4000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
