Celeron N4000 vs Core i3-4000M benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-4000M beats the Celeron N4000 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4000 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i3-4000M has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-4000M has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N4000. A Celeron N4000 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-4000M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N4000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
