Celeron N3450 vs Core m3-6Y30 comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron N3450 performs better than the Core m3-6Y30. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core m3-6Y30 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron N3450 has significantly more cores than the Core m3-6Y30. Indeed, the Celeron N3450 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core m3-6Y30. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core m3-6Y30 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron N3450. The Core m3-6Y30 outputs less heat than Celeron N3450 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron N3450 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
