Celeron J4125 vs Pentium G3240 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron J4125 performs better than the Pentium G3240. Despite this, the Pentium G3240 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J4125 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G3240 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G3240. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G3240 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron J4125. A Celeron J4125 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G3240 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J4125 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
