In our benchmarks, the Celeron J4125 beats the Pentium 6405U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium 6405U in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J4125 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium 6405U that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. A Celeron J4125 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium 6405U CPU because of its significantly lower TDP.
