Celeron J4125 vs Pentium 5405U comparison

In our benchmarks, the Pentium 5405U beats the Celeron J4125 in overall performance. Despite this, the Celeron J4125 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J4125 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium 5405U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. A Celeron J4125 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium 5405U CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron J4125 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
