Celeron J4105 vs Core i3-3220 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron J4105 is faster than the Core i3-3220. Despite this, the Core i3-3220 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J4105 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i3-3220 has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-3220 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J4105. A Celeron J4105 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-3220 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron J4105 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
