Celeron J4105 vs Core i3-2328M benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron J4105 performs better than the Core i3-2328M. Despite this, the Core i3-2328M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron J4105 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-2328M. Indeed, the Celeron J4105 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-2328M. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-2328M has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron J4105. A Celeron J4105 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-2328M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Celeron J4105 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
