Celeron J4105 vs Celeron G550 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron J4105 is faster than the Celeron G550. Despite this, the Celeron G550 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J4105 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Celeron G550 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron G550. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Celeron G550 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J4105. A Celeron J4105 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron G550 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J4105 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
