Celeron J3455 vs PRO A8-8600B benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the PRO A8-8600B performs better than the Celeron J3455. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J3455 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J3455 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the PRO A8-8600B has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the PRO A8-8600B has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J3455.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J3455 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
