Celeron J3455 vs Pentium G3460 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium G3460 performs better than the Celeron J3455. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J3455 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J3455 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G3460 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G3460. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G3460 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron J3455. A Celeron J3455 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G3460 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J3455 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
