Celeron J3455 vs Celeron N4020 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron J3455 is faster than the Celeron N4020. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4020 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J3455 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Celeron N4020 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron N4020. Our comparison shows that the Celeron J3455 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron N4020. The Celeron N4020 outputs less heat than Celeron J3455 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J3455 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
