Celeron J1900 vs Pentium 3556U comparison
In our benchmarks, the Celeron J1900 beats the Pentium 3556U in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium 3556U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J1900 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium 3556U that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium 3556U. Our comparison shows that the Celeron J1900 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium 3556U. A Celeron J1900 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium 3556U CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J1900 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
