Celeron J1900 vs Core 2 Duo E7400 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron J1900 performs better than the Core 2 Duo E7400. Despite this, the Core 2 Duo E7400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron J1900 has significantly more cores than the Core 2 Duo E7400. Indeed, the Celeron J1900 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core 2 Duo E7400. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E7400. Our comparison shows that the Core 2 Duo E7400 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J1900. A Celeron J1900 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E7400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron J1900 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
