Celeron J1900 vs Celeron N4020 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron N4020 performs better than the Celeron J1900. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J1900 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron J1900 has significantly more cores than the Celeron N4020. Indeed, the Celeron J1900 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Celeron N4020. It also has more threads than the Celeron N4020. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron J1900 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N4020. The Celeron N4020 outputs less heat than Celeron J1900 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Celeron J1900 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
