Celeron J1900 vs A9-9425 comparison

In our benchmarks, the A9-9425 beats the Celeron J1900 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J1900 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J1900 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A9-9425 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A9-9425. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A9-9425 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J1900. A Celeron J1900 CPU outputs less heat than a A9-9425 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron J1900 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
