Celeron G5905 vs Celeron J4125 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron G5905 performs better than the Celeron J4125. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J4125 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J4125 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Celeron G5905 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron G5905. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron G5905 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron J4125. The Celeron J4125 outputs less heat than Celeron G5905 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron G5905 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
