Celeron G550 vs Pentium G860 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium G860 is faster than the Celeron G550. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron G550 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G860 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Celeron G550. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Celeron G550 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G860. Despite this, the Pentium G860 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Celeron G550.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron G550 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
