Celeron G3930 vs A8-5500B benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-5500B is faster than the Celeron G3930. Despite this, the Celeron G3930 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the A8-5500B has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A8-5500B has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron G3930. In terms of cache, the A8-5500B has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Celeron G3930
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron G3930 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
