Celeron G3920 vs Core i5-5300U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron G3920 performs better than the Core i5-5300U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-5300U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i5-5300U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron G3920 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-5300U. The Core i5-5300U outputs less heat than Celeron G3920 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Celeron G3920 also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Celeron G3920 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
