Celeron 1037U vs Celeron N4020 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron N4020 performs better than the Celeron 1037U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron 1037U in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron 1037U has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N4020. The Celeron N4020 outputs less heat than Celeron 1037U thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Celeron 1037U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
