Celeron 1005M vs Pentium N4200 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium N4200 performs better than the Celeron 1005M. Despite this, the Celeron 1005M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Pentium N4200 has significantly more cores than the Celeron 1005M. Indeed, the Pentium N4200 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Celeron 1005M. It also has more threads than the Celeron 1005M. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron 1005M has a significantly higher clock speed than the Pentium N4200. The Pentium N4200 outputs less heat than Celeron 1005M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Celeron 1005M has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
