Athlon X4 760K vs Celeron J6412 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Athlon X4 760K is faster than the Celeron J6412. Despite this, the Celeron J6412 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J6412 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Athlon X4 760K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Athlon X4 760K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J6412. In terms of cache, the Athlon X4 760K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Celeron J6412
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Athlon X4 760K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
