Athlon II X2 220 vs A9-9425 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Athlon II X2 220 is faster than the A9-9425. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A9-9425 in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the A9-9425 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Athlon II X2 220. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Athlon II X2 220 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
