Athlon 3000G vs Xeon X3450 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X3450 is faster than the Athlon 3000G. Despite this, the Athlon 3000G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X3450 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Athlon 3000G that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Athlon 3000G. With our hardware info, we find that the Athlon 3000G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X3450. A Athlon 3000G CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X3450 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Xeon X3450 has more L2 cache than the Athlon 3000G
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Athlon 3000G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
